It has been my dream to become a tattoo artist. That dream became true in 1998 when I used all my savings to buy my first tattoo machine. At that time, it was impossible to buy professional tattoo machines and supplies in Croatia, so with help of some people I ordered one from Italy . The work was getting extensive and it became evident that I would need more tattoo machines. The situation in post-war Croatia was rather complicated, as was the ordering of machines from other countries. Since my father was an experienced mechanic and skilled metalworker, I realized that he could help me make my own tattoo machine. I used my theoretical knowledge, since I am a student of mechanical engineering, and father pitched in with his experience in metalworking. We carefully studied and manufactured every part of a tattoo machine - frame, electromagnets and other parts.
I can proudly say that I am the first tattoo artist who made the first professional tattoo machine in Croatia.
